REPORTS TO: Director of Employment Services
STATUS: Full Time / Non-Exempt
COMPENSATION: $32.32 Per Hour, includes paid medical insurance, paid vacation time, personal days, health days, and holidays.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday; occasional weekday evenings and Saturdays
Hybrid work model with onsite and remote work (subject to change)
GENERAL SUMMARY: The Employment Services and Data Coordinator position plays a vital role in supporting the Center’s Trans and LGBTQ Employment programs through providing day to day programming, events, and client services. In addition, the Employment Services and Data Coordinator is responsible for Data Management, enrollment, and reporting to external funders. This position reports to the Director of Employment Services.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Data Coordination:
-
Maintain and support Employment Services Program administration, including reporting, filing, supporting all audit preparation and developing monthly and annual program reports. Maintain client files and ensure client confidentiality for program participants.

Maintain, support, and collect all programmatic data in appropriate platforms per government grant contract. This includes data collection and entry into Microsoft Excel, Google Spreadsheets, WFC grant reporting tool, and Salesforce CRM. Track impact of programs through qualitative and quantitative reports, working alongside the Director of Employment Services to adjust programmatic strategies.

Support the coordination and completion of government grant enrollment and participant forms for two or more city grants working with employment specialists to collect demographic and impact data for every client within the Employment Services Department.

Gather and present requested information in preparation of annual grant program monitoring and compliance reviews.

Provide support as needed to gather information for grant reports to develop and submit grant proposals
-
Present impact data and program metrics per grant to Employment Services department (and Center staff as appropriate) monthly through PowerPoint and Salesforce CRM in order to track department outcomes.

In collaboration with Employment Services team participate in long-term program planning
Program Delivery:
-
Work with the employment services team to support ongoing direct services and programs.

Provide individual services to program participants, including intakes and assessment, case management, coaching on job search and career development, and referrals of individuals to employer partners
-
Assess participants' occupational skills and interests as they pertain to the local job market and assist them in setting and reaching appropriate employment objectives.
-
Provide ongoing support to participants in the implementation of their Employment Action Plan as they navigate the job market and provide internal and external referrals as needed
-
Coordinate, develop, and facilitate job search workshops and groups tailored specifically for trans/GNC/LGBTQ community members with multiple barriers to employment on a variety of topics including:

Resume and cover letter writing;
-
Completing employment applications;
-
Interviewing techniques;
-
Networking; and
-
Effective workplace communication.

Coordinate the Employment Services intake process for new clients looking for services. Responsibilities include scheduling and leading intake meetings, collecting enrollment forms, transitioning new clients onto active caseloads, and maintaining the waitlist as necessary.

Respond to community inquiries via phone or email, screening and referring inquiries to appropriate Center staff or resources.

Other related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
-
Cultural humility and demonstrated commitment to the transgender community; familiarity with the diversity of transgender, lesbian, gay, bisexual and gender non-binary identities/experiences required.

Commitment to the mission of the San Francisco LGBT Community Center. Experience with and commitment to working in a multicultural environment.

Minimum two years of experience working in workforce development and/or trauma-informed case management work
-
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality
-
Innovative approach, including solution-oriented approaches to complex issues. Commitment to alternative organizational structures and leadership models that share power and decision making with team members effectively. Ability to adapt to changing environment and priorities

Fluency in English required, bilingual skills highly desired.
-
Detail-oriented, hardworking, and able to complete paperwork and tasks in a timely manner.

Excellent computer skills, including experience with MS Office, Google Suite, Zoom videoconference, Salesforce CRM or similar programs. Calendly, Eventbrite0 and online scheduling skills a plus. Experience with project management tools.

Commitment to work with a diverse team and collaborate across different work styles, including the ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented structure.

Understanding of local SF/Bay Area community resources preferred.
-
Ability to learn new data systems including WFC reporting tool or other tools provided by government grant funding partners.

Familiarity with government grant contracts and grant reporting structures.
-
Requires flexibility in working some evening and/or weekend hours.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
-
This position is primarily office based at the Center’s 1800 Market Street location with an ability to negotiate a schedule of remote work up to a maximum of 40% time.

Essential physical requirements
-
Must be able to operate a computer and other common office machinery such as a copier/fax/printer up to eight hours/day daily.
-
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for periods of several hours daily.
-
Must be able to lift to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
-
Must be able to work in a shared office space with 4 or more employees in the same office with moderate levels of noise.
Employees in this position much be able to perform these essential functions satisfactorily, and, if requested, reasonable accommodations will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job.

Hours are primarily Monday – Friday with occasional need for evening or weekend work. Work schedules are negotiable within a standard 8:00 am – 7:00 pm window.

Local travel may be required for meetings or offsite events. Out of town travel is infrequent and negotiable. No car required.
